Garden Architecture in Europe
Regular price£50.00 Sale priceBy Torsten Olaf Edge & Carl Friedrich Schröer, 1992. Published by Taschen.
"The age-old myth of the Garden of Eden reflects a fundamental human longing. In paradise the first humans lived in perfect peace...from time immemorial, the setting for this natural, harmonious way of life has been the garden." - Carl Friedrich Schröer
This coffee table book is brimming full of beautiful colour photographs and drawings of a plethora of European gardens. Magnificent inspiration for garden lovers, although the text is comprised predominently by the history with anecdotal interjections rather than any detail on the recreation of this style. It is more of a contextual wander through some truly superb classical gardens.
