Set of Miso Bowls

An elegant set of antique Japanese laquerware owan/miso bowls likely from the Meiji period early 1900s. These were carved form a single wood block and hand laquered with traditional Japanese urushi. Delicate gold motifs of shrimp, Japanese characters and fern fronds are etched across the bowl lids.
