A lesser known photobook by top Dutch photographer Ed van der Elksen, with the accompanying Dutch text by Hans Bouma. Van der Elksen was one of the leading street photographers of the 20th century, documenting the social culture of Amsterdam, Paris and Tokyo, with a keen eye for the theatrical and provocative. Alongside his gritty, urban image, he also produced several photobooks that celebrated the nature of the northern Netherlands.

LOOKBOOKS is an independent seller of old, kinda fun books. Founded in 2019 in London by Emma Hammer, the woman with an incredible eye who is a respected picture researcher for editorial and commercial projects working with brands such as The Face, The Financial Times, Phaidon, Taschen, Hole & Corner and many others.
